Camp High 5, GIO's premier riverside camp stands on the banks of the River Alaknanda at Jayalgarh (Uttarakhand). Far from the bustle of popular touristy destinations yet conveniently close to a rail head and airport, Camp High 5 is ideally located for the urbanite who loves the natural experience. In addition to the easy connectivity, this camp is the perfect setting for someone looking for a relaxing holiday in the spectacular setting or for the activity junkie who is looking for an activity-filled day followed by relaxed evenings by the riverside under the star-spangled sky. Many an hour can be spent with a book by the riverside coupled with short nature walks along the riverside or into the forests that surround the camp.
The riverside camp offers deluxe accommodation with 24x7 electricity, running hot & cold water, deluxe bedding & facilities such as a large dining gazebo, riverside lounge chairs, reading lounge with books & Magazines and a common TV, music during meals and evenings and so on
DAY 1: HARIDWAR/DELHI –HIMALAYAN ECO LODGE & CAMP, JAYALGARH
Arrive at our Beautiful Riverside Deluxe camp to come welcome hot Tea & Coffee. Settle into the camp followed by a briefing & Lunch and introduction to the program, activities & dos and don’ts.
After some rest, Head out for a short village hike and get a feel of village life in Jayalgarh. Return to the camp for Hot Tea/ Coffee & Snacks. Rest of the evening at leisure; sit at our LOUNGE/LIBRARY to catch up on reading, watch a movie or just catch on the old times.
Bonfire & Barbeque at our special riverside beach sitout with light music, delectable snacks and a crackling bonfire. Dinner follows & retire for the the night.
DAY 2: JAYALGARH
After Breakfast, choose between a variety of activities ranging from Bridge slithering, try out kayaking in our special inflatable kayaks called duckies or/and go for short rafting stretch of 11 kms and soak in the town coming to life as you float down the river. Return to camp for Lunch followed by some rest.
Chill out at our beach side lounge area and enjoy Tea/ Coffee over conversation with hot snacks. Rest of the evening at Leisure. Bonfire, Barbeque & Snacks with music is the menu for the rest of the evening.
DAY 3: JAYALGARH
Post breakfast; head out for some rock sports under the guidance of our accomplished team. Rock Climbing, Rappelling & Valley crossing is the menu to choose from. Carry Picnic lunch and enjoy it in a quite part of the village by a brook and return to camp for Lunch. Post Lunch indulge in camp games, banter or just chill out for the rest of the evening. Bonfire and dinner in the night.

DAY 4: JAYALGARH – HARIDWAR/DELHI
Late mornings, Late breakfast and check out. Head back to Haridwar and onward destination.

- All meals beginning with lunch on Day 01 to breakfast on Day 04.
- Activities as mentioned in the itinerary
- Professional guide (trained from Nehru Institute of Mountaineering, Uttarkashi) would accompany you on the treks
- For all other activities, professional and experienced guides would be leading the trip. On the rafting trip, a safety kayaker would accompany you on the river for additional safety

TRANSPORT OPTIONS
For travel to the lodge/camp, a combination of train/air and road travel is recommended. The closest railway station to the camp is Haridwar and there are a number of trains that connect to Haridwar from all over the country. For train details, you could log on to www.indianrail.gov.in and for online railway ticket bookings you could log on to www.irctc.co.in. For air travel, the closest airport is the Jolly Grant Airport (at Dehradun) and is well connected to Delhi and other parts of the country by Air India, Jet Airways, Kingfisher Airlines, etc.
