Camp High 5, GIO’s premier riverside camp stands on the banks of the Alaknanda at Jayalgarh (near Devprayag, Uttarakhand). Far from the bustle of popular touristy destinations yet conveniently close to a rail head and airport, Camp High 5 is ideally located for the urbanite who loves the natural experience. It is connected to a National highway as well, making it easily accessible from New Delhi. This is the perfect getaway for adventure seekers and nature lovers alike. If the Alakhnanda offers a unique rafting experience, the surrounding hills are ideal for activities like rock climbing and rappelling. Short, scenic hikes and beautifully isolated glades full of exotic birds and butterflies add to the magic. The tents are spacious, each with its own independent toilets and washrooms with running water offering you all the creature comforts of home amidst the rugged terrain making for an unforgettable outdoor experience.
Day 1: Arrive at the camp by 0800 hrs. After breakfast, drive up to Srikot (18 kms) and from here RAFT down till the camp for late lunch. During the rafting, you could also indulge in CLIFF JUMPING and BODY SURFING. Post lunch, set out for a walk in the surrounding jungle followed by RAPPELLING under the watchful eyes of our instructors. Return to the camp in the evening and relax by the riverside. In the night, bonfire and dinner by the riverside.
Day 2: After breakfast, RAFT down from the camp till Deoprayag (22 kms/3 hrs). This is an exciting run on the river where you would encounter a number of Class II & III rapids and finally ending the run at the confluence of the Alaknanda and Bhagirathi rivers. Return to the camp at the end of the rafting stretch for a late lunch. Post lunch relax in the camp with a game of BEACH VOLLEYBALL, CRICKET, ETC. At night, enjoy bonfire and dinner by the riverside.
Day 3: Post breakfast, depart from the camp to your onward destination.

- Accommodation: In Superior/Deluxe Swiss cottage tents on twin-sharing basis for 2 nights.
- Food: Veg/Non-Veg meals. All meals beginning with breakfast on Day 1 to breakfast on the last day. Lunch is vegetarian and dinner would have one non-vegetarian dish. Tea/Coffee & snacks to be served whenever required.
- Activities like rafting, rappelling, hiking, etc. as mentioned in the itinerary

TRANSPORT OPTIONS
For travel to the camp, a combination of train/air and road travel is recommended. The closest railway station to the camp is Haridwar and there are a number of trains that connect to Haridwar from all over the country. For train details, you could log on to www.indianrail.gov.in and for online railway ticket bookings you could log on to www.irctc.co.in. For air travel, the closest airport is the Jolly Grant Airport (at Dehradun) and is well connected to Delhi and other parts of the country by Air India, Jet Airways, Kingfisher Airlines, etc.
From Haridwar/Dehradun/Delhi, we could organise a vehicle for you that would remain with you throughout your trip. The following would be the costs for the same:

- >21 days: Full refund (after deducting any expenses that have been incurred for transport, etc.)
- 14-20 days: 75% of trip cost will be refunded (after deducting any expenses that have been incurred for transport, etc.)
- 7-13 days: 50% of trip cost will be refunded (after deducting any expenses that have been incurred for transport, etc.)
- <7 days: No refund
