With stunning views of the Himalayan peaks (including India's second highest peak, Nanda Devi) and the emerald waters of the Tehri Lake coupled with the cool weather that is present through the year, a perfect base for a holiday does not get any better than this. The close proximity to Haridwar also ensures that getting here is a breeze and once you do get to the lodge the beauty of its surrounding is sure to have you captivated for a long time to come. The lodge is located in pristine surroundings and has a Pine forest all around with distant views of the valleys of Tehri Garhwal.
The day begins early in the morning with a stunning sunrise from behind the peaks. With the colours changing by the minute, this is a sight well worth getting up early for!! The place is ideal for long walks and a nature walk warms one for the breakfast to follow. The restaurant itself has stunning views of the scenery around and one can partake of their breakfast in the outdoors also. For those who prefer to curl up with a book, there are numerous spaces including the balconies, large natural spaces or one can take a short walk into the pine forests to spend a few hours by themselves. You could also set off for a beautiful drive to Kanatal and Dhanaulti where you could explore the thick forests around Kanatal or visit the potato farms and the Eco Park in Dhanaulti. The Eco Park is an initiative of the local Forest Department and the citizens to set up an eco friendly space with great walking trails, sitting spaces, soft adventure activities, etc. in the midst of the lush greenery. One can also cycle or drive down to the majestic Tehri Dam (amongst the largest dams in the world) and spend some time walking around the gigantic lake that was formed by the dam.
DAY 1: HARIDWAR/DELHI –HIMALAYAN ECO LODGE & CAMP, KUND
Arrive at our Beautiful Lodge to come welcome hot Tea & Coffee. Settle into the rooms followed by a briefing & Lunch and introduction to the places, Activity options & dos and don’ts.
After some rest, depart for a day of sightseeing and scenic drive to Dhanaulti, If you are lucky you might catch snow there on the meadows (Jan-Mar). Visit the beautiful DHANAULTI ECO-PARK set up by the forest department. If you are upto it, a nice hike upto SURKHANDA DEVI TEMPLE is worth it as the views from the 3000 Mtrs peak is breathtaking. Return to the camp for Hot Tea/ Coffee & Snacks. Rest of the evening at leisure; sit at our LOUNGE/LIBRARY to catch up on reading, watch a movie or just catch on the old times.
Bonfire with light music, delectable snacks and a crackling bonfire. Dinner follows & retire for the the night.
DAY 2: SURSINGHDAR – DHANAULTI SIGHT SEEING
After an early Breakfast, depart for Shivpuri near Rishikesh for an session of adrenalin pumping fun with a session White water rafting on the Ganges. Pass through Grade II – III+ rapids and try yyour hand at cliff jumping & body surfing along the way. Wash & Change & Depart to onward destination.

TRANSPORT OPTIONS
For travel to the camp, a combination of train/air and road travel is recommended. The closest railway station to the camp is Haridwar and there are a number of trains that connect to Haridwar from all over the country. For train details, you could log on to www.indianrail.gov.in and for online railway ticket bookings you could log on to www.irctc.co.in. For air travel, the closest airport is the Jolly Grant Airport (at Dehradun) and is well connected to Delhi and other parts of the country by Air India, Jet Airways, Kingfisher Airlines, etc.
From Haridwar/Dehradun/Delhi, we could organise a vehicle for you that would remain with you throughout your trip. The following would be the costs for the same:
