The River Tons is a tributary on the Yamuna and is lesser known, at least in traditional circles, but is equally well known if not more famous that the Yamuna in the rafting circles. Its glacial waters and gradient create what is possibly the most technical rafting river in India. The Tons is a fast flowing river that has rapids of different kinds requiring guiding expertise of many a season (GIO Adventures best!).
With constant action on its Class II to IV rapids, this river truly makes for one heck of a roller coaster ride. With 3 different stretches to choose from based on ones comfort level, rafting on the Tons is an adventure experience of a lifetime that is enhanced by its proximity to the Har ki dun valley and its many charms that include hiking, cliff jumping, rappelling and swimming in natural water pools.
