The people Sikkim have over time have come to be known as the the people of Kangchenjunga with the towering mountain visible from almost anywhere is the State. With the world third highest peak being in the vicinity it is only logical that many a bounty of nature has been bestowed on this wonderful small state that would thrill any outdoor enthusiast.
Sikkim lies between Nepal,Tibet and Bhutan on different sides and forms one of only three ecoregions in India. With the towering mountainscape ever beckoning and and eniviable host of flora and fauna that include over 5000 varieties of flowers and 500 types of rare orchids. If you are very lucky the elusive snow leopard might get added to your list of wonders of the natural world that you can claimto have seen. Trekking to almost any destination in Sikkim would be a wonderful experience for the sheer richness of the landscape and the fact that it is still not all that popular with many people.
