Day 01: Haridwar – Jayalgarh - Beasghat

Arrival in Haridwar by around 6 a.m. here you will board the awaiting vehicle and drive to Jayalgarh (3-4 hrs, 115 kms). Arrive at the camp and freshen up. Post breakfast there will be a briefing on the rafting techniques and safety instructions. After the briefing we set out on this river voyage. Today’s rafting stretch on the Alaknanda river till Beas Ghat (30 kms) has some interesting class II / III+ rapids till Devprayag, where the holy Bhagirathi river meets the Alaknanda to form Ganga river. From Devprayag to Beasghat is a beautiful section with slow moving waters which is great for duckie rides (inflatable kayaks), body surfing and swimming. We will be on the river for about 5-6 hrs. We will set up a camp for the night at the beautiful beach here, enjoy a bonfire and dinner under the star spangles sky.

Day 02: Beas Ghat - Biyasi

Wake up and go for an exploratory hike around the campsite with our guide, later head back to the campsite and take a dip in the waters of Nayar river and get refreshed. Post a sumptuous breakfast the river trip will proceed to Kaudiyala through a beautiful gorge section. The major rapid today will be the Daniel’s Dip at Kaudiyala. From here we will raft down for a few more kms to reach an inviting beach at Biyasi where we camp for the night. The rapids today will also be in the Class II / III range. Overnight in tents.

Day 03: Biyasi – Shivpuri – Rishikesh – Haridwar

After breakfast we set out on our rafts and raft all the way down to Rishikesh. The rafting stretch today will be of about 30 kms. There will be many rapids today. Some of the well known one’s are Three Blind Mice, Crossfire, Return to the Sender, Roller Coaster, Golf Course, Clubhouse and Double Trouble. After a thrilling time on the river we finish our trip at Rishikesh. we have lunch here after which the guests will be dropped to Haridwar from where they can proceed with their onwards journey.

    We believe that roughing it out necessarily doesn’t mean sleeping in smelly sleeping bags, compromising on safety by using low quality equipment and having unappetizing meals. We focus on your safety, basic comforts and the environment while camping. Keeping this is mind, the following equipment is provided on the trip:

    • Fresh and clean Sleeping bags of very good quality

  • An experienced team of rafting guides, safety kayakers & helpers for the group. This will ensure high safety and more information and personal attention which are necessary to appreciate a trip of this nature. All our guides are professionally trained and have many years of relevant experience in guiding trips
  • All meals starting from breakfast on Day 1 till lunch on Day 3. A lot of emphasis is given to nutritional needs and a menu of vegetarian/Non vegetarian(at night) dishes is prepared accordingly. On all 3 days lunches would be packed. Tea/coffee & cookies will be served at the campsites
  • Duckie (inflatable kayak) rides for everyone
  • Kitchen & service staff would travel along with the group to provide freshly cooked meals
  • Bonfire in the nights

    • 15-30 Days: 50% of trip cost will be refunded (after deducting any expenses that have been incurred for hotel bookings, transport, etc.)
    • <15 Days: No refund


How to Reach

By Road:

Delhi – Meerut bypass – Muzaffarnagar bypass – Roorkee – Haridwar – Rishikesh – Shivpuri – Devprayag – Jayalgarh

By Air:

The Jolly Grant Airport (Dehradun) is the nearest airport and is connected by daily flights from Delhi. The drive from the airport to the lodge would take about 3 – 3.5 hrs.

By By Rail:

The nearest railhead to the camp is Haridwar. There are a number of trains that run between Delhi and Haridwar. The drive from Haridwar to the camp will take 3 – 3.5 hrs

Expected Weather

n the period Oct - Dec day time is going to be warm and pleasant if the sun is out, which mostly is around this time. The water is going to be cold but not freezing cold. A dip in the river is going to initially feel cold but couple of dips and you will start enjoying the water. Evenings are going to be moderately cold in Oct & Nov and cold in December. With a bonfire next to you it is going to be an enjoyable experience. December the night temperature can go down to about 3 – 5 deg Celsius so come prepared with some winter clothing. In Oct – Nov period night temperature will be around 10 – 15 deg Celsius and you will need protection from the cold.

In the period Feb – Apr day time is going to be warm and very pleasant. The water is going to be moderately cold and extremely inviting. So you might end up spending more time off the boat than on it. Evenings are going to be moderately cold in Mar & Apr and cold in Feb. Night temperature will be around 15 -20 deg Celsius in Mar - Apr & around 12 – 15 deg Celsius in Feb so come prepared with some winter clothing.
