Lately the Rafting scene in north has become quite monotonous and concentrated on a few stretches at limited locations. To break this convention GIO adventures offers you the most unique and diverse itinerary for rafting, executing 3 long stretches on 3 major rivers of the Garhwal Himalayas. This program will give you a lifetime experience of rafting three major northern rivers i.e. Alaknanda, the Ganges and the Yamuna. All the 3 rivers have a contrasting character which adds a unique flavour to the whole experience
On the first day you start paddling from the Himalayanecolodges deluxe campsite at Jayalgarh and cross the holy town of Devprayag where Bhagirati and Alaknanda meet to form Ganges. You negotiate rapids of II to III grade on the Alaknanda river. Evening you head back to the beautiful campsite and enjoy the evening. On day 2 the action shifts to river Ganga where you do a 25 kms run starting from marine drive till Rishikesh town. This is a busy run with quite a few class II to III+ rapids. This evening you will get to camp on a pristine sandy beach by the river Yamuna. This is surely going to be a memorable experience. On the last day you paddle the Yamuna river which unlike the previous two high volume rivers is a very technical river offering different challenges and a different landscape you are sure to relish both
By the time you reach the end of the course and conclude this trip all your fantasies related to the river adventures will be fullfilled; as rafting is not the only thing you will be doing. The whole program is designed by the best river instructors in the country and includes duckie rides, bridge slithering, body-surfing on the rapids, cliff jumping, river crossing etc. at most beautiful locations around 3 major himalayan rivers.
