The hill capital holds prominent value in the history of India. Shimla was regarded as Summer Capital Pre Independence under the rule of Britishers. The historical Indo-Pak Agreement was also signed here in 1972. The narrow gauge railway track of Kalka-Shimla is amongst the list of UNESCO World Heritage Site.
To ensure that the beauty of Shimla is not restricted only to a few, newer methods are adopted to reach masses. A cycling expedition is going to be organized in the recent times. All cycling enthusiasts from all over the country are invited to be part of it. Great India Outdoors (GIO) Adventurers has conducted such events with utmost dedication. The experienced GIO team ensures best of the practices are followed while executing a tour.
The cycling tour would start from Camp Redwoods, Shimla and would lead us short of Kasuali, riding a close to 70 kilometers on first day of the tour. On the second day, cyclists ride another 50 kilometers, bypassing picturesque of Kumarhatti, Mallah and Morni Reserved Forest Hills. The tour ends at Sukhna Lake, Chandigarh in the foothills of Shivalik Hills.
