On this day, you will drive to Tehri Retreat, Sursingdhar (New Tehri) from Dehradun Airport and spend your evening at leisure. Overnight at New Tehri

You will drive to the peaceful town of Barkot where it is said even silence is understood. After arriving spend your time in leisure. Overnight in Barkot

We will leave early morning from Barkot for Jankichatti. This is a beautiful drive along the river Yamuna with views of villages and forests.  The drive is about two hours long. From Jankichatti we begin the walk to Yamunotri which is 6 kms away. At Yamunotri, darshan at the temple and one can also have a dip in the warm waters of the Jamunabai Kund . In the afternoon, walk back to Jankichatti and drive to Barkot. Overnight in Barkot

Note: One can take mule/dolis for Yamunotri which are available at an extra cost

We start the drive to Uttarkashi and make a brief stop Rari-ka-Danda, to take a take a refreshing break amidst the pine forest. We continue our drive via Dharasu and Dunda (a tribal Village whose inhabitants are a mix of Hindu & Buddhist followers). Further ahead we cross Nakuri village, home of celebrated Lady Mountaineer, Ms. Bachendri Pal (First Indian lady to have summited Mount Everest). Finally, we reach Uttarkashi, the “Kashi” of the North situated on the banks of the Bhagirathi River known for its umpteen temples. We will attend the aarti in the famous Kashi Vishwanath Temple and visit some of the ashrams and other temples that dot this beautiful landscape. Overnight at Uttarkashi

An early start for the 100 kms drive to Gangotri where we pass through Ganganani, a peaceful village known for its ancient hot water springs. Further we drive to Sukhi top, from where one can get a lofty view of the snow-clad Himalayas. Driving through Jhala we reach Harsil, a beautiful village surrounded by dense Deodar forests and known for its apple orchards. Moving ahead we cross one of the highest motorable bridge, built over Jahnvi river.  On the other side of the bridge is Bhaironghati, known for temple of Bhairava, the gatekeeper of Shiva.  A further drive of 10 kms get us to Gangotri. After spending some time at the temple, we return to Uttarkashi the same day. Overnight at Uttarkashi

Post breakfast, drive to Guptkashi. Arrival in the lodge by late afternoon. Once you reach at the hotel, relax in the scenic surroundings with the River Mandakini flowing by and the Kedar peak in the distance. Overnight at Guptkashi (Kund)

Early morning, drive to Phata and from there fly to Kedarnath. After your visit to Kedarnath, fly back to Phata. From Phata, drive back to the mountain lodge in Guptkashi (Kund) for the night. Overnight at Guptkashi (Kund)

 

Note: If incase the helicopter service is not available due to weather condition, we will fly next day which is kept as a reserve day

Today we visit the famous temples of Guptkashi, Narayankoti temple complex, Kalimath and others. Later in the evening visit Omkareshwar temple and attend aarti. Omkareshwar temple is a winter seat of Kedarnath ji.

 

This is also a reserve day in case the helicopter schedule was disrupted for any reason. Overnight in Guptkashi (Kund)

Post breakfast we begin the drive to Auli. Enroute, stopover at Chopta and here enjoy for some time in the bugyals (high altitude meadows) and have a picnic lunch. You also get wonderful views of the snow-clad Himalayan peaks from here. If the whole group is interested, we can also trek up to the Tungnath temple (the highest Shiva shrine in the world). The trekking time will be about 3-4 hrs. We continue the journey from Chopta and visit the Gopinath temple at Gopeshwar and Narsing Devta temple (the winter seat of Lord Badrinath)in Joshimath. Before reaching Joshimath we pass through Pipalkoti where the celebrated poet, Kalidasa, composed Meghadoot. A little ahead of Pipalkoti lies Garurganga where Lord Vishnu left his carrier, Garuda. We reach the beautiful mountain lodge, Himalayan High in Auli for overnight stay.

 

Post early breakfast drive up to Badrinath. This drive would take about 2 -2.5 hrs. In Badrinath visit the Tapt Kund  Narayan Kund, Mata Murty temple, BhimPul, etc. and also visit Mana village (the last village on the Indian border). In Mana, you can shop for some local handicrafts and handmade woollen items. Depending on the time available, you can also take a walk to the thundering Vasundhara Falls (round walk of about 3 hrs). Later in the afternoon, head back to Auli. Arrive back in the lodge by the evening. Overnight in Auli

Morning drive to Haridwar, en-route visit the confluence of Bhagirathi and Alaknanda called Devprayag (formation of Holy Ganges). After visit Devprayag, drive towards Haridwar. Attend evening Aarti at Har Ki Pauri. Overnight in Haridwar

Check out in the morning & drive to your own destination.
