>For travel from Delhi to Srinagar & back, one can choose between air, rail & road. For air travel, the closest airport is Sheikh ul Alam International airport. There are a couple of flights that link this airport to Delhi airport. The airport is just 15 km away from the centre of the city.
> If you wish to travel by road, you can board a bus or a taxi till Chandigarh. On reaching Chandigarh, you can take a direct bus till Srinagar.
To reach Srinagar by train, one can take a train from Delhi to Jammu Tawi and from this station can hire a taxi or board a bus to reach Srinagar.
Summer season in Srinagar starts from April & ends in September. The temperatures at this time hover between 14°C to 30°C. The days are slightly hotter but the evenings are quite pleasant. The summer days are warm with brilliant blue skies, making this season the best time to visit Srinagar.
